Cerebrating 75 years of ‘Exceptional Education’.
St. Aloysius Primary School will this year 12th October 2013 cerebrate 75 years of existence, an event/anniversary that has had no predecessors since the beginning in 1938 (as an only boys school that later enrolled girls as well) thanks to the consenting of Old Boys & Old Girls of this model school who unanimously agreed to have the Jubilee recognised in a very special way this year.
Meetings have been held, Get togethers in respect to the event have been organised and we won’t stop now. We (Old Boys & Old Girls) have began fund raising drives to get the intended projects done before the 5th of October and therefore wish to let every old pupil out there that this is our school that has seen us this far, that it’s high time we gave back to have a colourful event.
We agreed to erect a statue (valued at UGX 5m) in memory of Mr. Kabuzire Adrian (R.I.P) whose 28 years of selflessness, diligence, commitment and result oriented administration reinforced our abilities early enough to face the world that was to come.
We also consented on launching a School Website (at UGX 1.4m all expenses paid) that will help the school share information better with the rest of the online world beginning 12th October 2013. The proposed website will among others contain the School Profile, Academics, Clubs, Games & Sports, Gallery, Archives, Guest book and a Social Network. Users will be able to view the latest updates from the school, download/view sample tests for all levels for their children, register themselves in the guest book & above all connect with the inbuilt Social Network that allows users to create accounts, Create Groups & Pages (just like facebook) within the site and share the memories. Isn’t that awesome?
The two projects above are solely to be implemented by the Old Boys and Girls of STAPS without any kind of support from the school which already has it much bigger budget for the huge event expected to be attended by 900+ invited guests. It is my humble request therefore that we corporate and contribute to this noble cause.
Thank you!
